Halloween

So, Halloween is coming up and I am trying to come up with a costume that is unique and funny. Some ideas are:

* Painting my belly like a fish bowl and painting a fish on it - while the rest of me is dressed like a cat or E could go as the cat

* Me as a bowling ball and Eric as a bowling pin

* A pregnant prom queen with Eric being the prom king

* Painting my belly as a basketball and E going as a bball player

* Going as a hippie couple and painting a giant flower on my belly

* Dressing like a Playboy bunny with a crooked ear, torn fishnets, bottle of alcohol, and my pregnant belly hanging out... not sure what E could be, though

Please post any ideas you have for me :)

Thanks!

It's a GIRL

I know this isn't "new" news now, but I need to post it anyway. :) We found out on Monday, August 16th that our baby is going to be a girl! Our due date is still January 17th, which I was thinking was a little off... guess we'll have to wait and see.

Papaya chews anyone???

If I didn't know any better, I'd think there was lava flowing down my esophagus. I am really close to keeping a food journal just to see if there is a certain kind of food that causes such horrible heartburn or if I am just an unlucky gal who has to deal with it no matter what I eat. I was downing TUMS like candy, but when I told this to my yoga teacher, Ashley who is also a doula, she recommended that I switch to papaya chews as they are a "better, all natural way to get rid of heartburn". At first, I thought this sounded silly... I mean, if papaya really helps heartburn that much then why do we have TUMS and other products like it? Well, the answer to that is I HAVE NO IDEA! Papaya not only gets rid of heartburn, it does it BETTER and FASTER than TUMS! I highly recommend switching to papaya chews if you ever suffer from heartburn. :)

Family Vacation

Should I be worried that I am already excited about taking our first family vacation together somewhere? I mean, I still have 5 more months of being PREGNANT... let alone waiting a until Button is old enough to be cognizant of what is going on. I hate that I want to wish away the days... life is too short to wish away days!

Button's Room... continued

On Wednesday of this week I am having a contractor come in and bid putting the bamboo floors into the two bedrooms we have. Last weekend, my parents came over and helped us get the last few items completed and here are some photos from the fun day. :)

Names

Well, in just about 2 weeks from today (August 16th) we find out whether Button is a boy or a girl... and we CAN'T WAIT!!!! As for names, we are 100% settled on Chase Wesley for a boy and we are both liking Eloise more and more for a girl. Eric wants to call her Elle regardless if we name her Eloise or Elle, so I think I could get my way and give her the name Eloise and then we can call her Elle. We saw a movie last night (Love Happens) and Jennifer Aniston's character was named Eloise and I just really loved seeing the name used... that is why I think I will stick with it. :)
