I had no trouble traveling TO Hawaii, but I managed to progress just enough while we were away to cause issues coming HOME from Hawaii. Six hours on a plane when you are just over 10 weeks pregnant isn't the most comfortable - especially when you are trying to sleep for as much as possible on your 6 hour flight. I normally have zero trouble sleeping on a plane as I have many different positions I can contort my body into that is comfortable to me - even in the smallest of places. However, my body already doesn't contort like it used to - and I am BARELY even showing! Button HATED when I would bend over and squish my tummy together or when I would have to keep my hips facing forward while twisting my body to try and lie down. And throughout all of this time I was sitting there filling with gas (sorry if that is TMI, but anyone out there who has been pregnant knows the gassy issues the hormone Progesterone causes), which got so bad that not only did I have to unbutton my pants, but I had to unzip them too! I basically got zero sleep, which made for a difficult time staying awake once we got home.
As much as I LOVED Hawaii, I am very glad to be back at home base and able to get through the rest of my first trimester in a nice, relaxed manner. Now, tomorrow is going to be GREAT because we get to see Button again at 3:55pm and then Friday will be the most exciting of all because we FINALLY will be telling our parents! Eric and I will be heading to tell my parents once he is done with work and then we will head to Salina on Saturday to tell his parents. It will be SUCH a relief to finally be able to tell everyone. :)
