"You deserve an Oscar for that performance!"

Well, our final wedding event has finally come to an end. The party was great, but getting ready for something that big while pregnant served to be a bit of a challenge. I was EXHAUSTED all day yesterday and woke up today twice as much so. Jenny Pecis, now you know how much you really did help me by driving me around to all of my errands the day of the party! And, Mom, helping with the finishing touches was heaven sent! A true lifesaver. :)

Eric had more than his share of drinks last night and though I had MANY offers to drink and take shots I managed to avoid alcohol all together - thankfully! I learned that this is the week when the baby's vital organs begin to develop and will continue to do so between now and the 10th week, so I have to be really conscious of what I eat and drink. After all, I could be housing a Nobel Prize recipient! ;) Eric asked me last night before we went to bed if I think anyone suspected anything and when I said no, his reply was, "You deserve an Oscar for that performance!" He just couldn't believe that I was able to not only keep such a secret with everyone I loved all around me, but also was able to avoid drinking without raising suspicions. Of course, I WAS drinking all evening, but it was just a mixture of cranberry juice and Sprite (Caffeine Free) - yes, the bartender knew I was pregnant and that it was a secret for now. Sorry to everyone we weren't completely honest to these last couple of days!
